This article presents the best way to analyze the fundamental excellence of any CBKB team. The statistical approach taken below has proven to be wildly successful in isolating ATS winners at this time of year. Using it every day in your analyses can lead you to winners and prevent you from playing against these quality teams.
Anyone who has played middle school basketball has had the fundamentals drilled into them. A game which they thought was all about shooting, quickly evolved into so much more. The mantra was drilled into the minds of many at an early age “defend, rebound, don’t lose the basketball.” As the game evolves those fundamentals are as true today as they ever were.
For the purposes of the CBKB sports bettor they are the key to profit. In the chart below we take our first look at the 2018 CBKB RATS . That acronym stands for (R)ebounding, (A)ssists, (T)urnovers. Our magic number is 10.
Here is the way it plays out when looking to isolate the best teams on the CBKB landscape.
#1 REBOUNDING MARGIN
#2 ASSIST/TURNOVER MARGIN
#3 NET TO MARGIN
When these 3 numbers for a team are ALL POSITIVE AND ADD TO 10 OR MORE we are looking at a quality basketball team. For those are the numbers that indicate fundamental success. In a separate article, published in this time frame, we will isolate the “Defensive Dandies” which you may use in conjunction with this list. For today we concentrate only on the RATS.
Teams are presented in alphabetical order for ease of use. The numbers represent play for the season thru December 31st
|TEAM||SU||ATS||RBDMGN||TO/ASST||NET TO MARG||TOTAL|
The current list of 2018 CBKB RATS contains 32 teams. I will save you the trouble doing the math by telling you these teams are combined 372-81 SU (82.1%) and 214-147 ATS (59.2%).
In addition to the 32 teams presented in this list there are an additional 33 teams ALL OF WHOM HAVE POSITIVE RATS but total less than 10. I keep a close eye on these everyday as potential RATS candidates and play on teams.
